“Free” Use of Utility Trailer
All residents of GlenLakes are welcome to use the 4’ x 8’ Utility Trailer
Purchased/donation from John Hunter (Wedgewood Dr) in 2013 to be used in GlenLakes for $100 (trailer worth over $700!)
Trailer pic

The 4 ft X 8 ft Utility trailer is located at 9200 Clubhouse Drive.

Call:  Jerry DuBose @  251-978-3069

If you need to use the trailer to haul your golf cart, lawnmower, pine straw or other things just call.

If you do not have a 1  7/8 inch ball or trailer hitch give Jerry DuBose a call and he will get the utility trailer for you.  Then he will try and go with you (if possible) to use the trailer.  You can give me a call at 251-978-3069.

Since May of 2013 we have kept it on the Glenlakes Golf Club grounds at the green maintenance barn at the end of the driving range.

Keeping it at the Maintenance Barn was handy and the Golf Club could use it anytime which they did for the last four years.  As a result of their using it the trailer's lights were broken/busted, spare time was missing and the trailer was in overall bad condition.  I went over in August 2017 and picked it up from the maintenance Barn.  We had it sandblasted, then I painted it, installed new tires, With the help of Dale Sharp we put in a new treated 5/4” treated floor and mounted new running lights.

After all repairs on August 18th, I returned the trailer to the storage area at the GlenLakes Golf Club maintenance barn.  About two hours later I received an email from Don Cook (president of GlenLakes Golf Club, INC) after a couple of hours that reminded me that I was not allowed on any GlenLakes Golf Club property.
“It has been brought to my attention that you have been seen accessing the GLGC maintenance barn to retrieve and return a personal trailer.     IAW our Attorney's letter to you of June 26, 2017, suspending you from GlenLakes Golf Course premises, you are not authorized to have access to the maintenance barn. Please either have someone else retrieve and return your personal trailer to the barn or relocate it to non GLGC property.    Thank you.   Don Cook
When Bob Axetell borrowed the trailer a couple of weeks later,  I had him return it to me and I carried it to the Milfin Storage instead of the GlenLakes Maintenance Barn for storage.  It will be a little harder to have access for GlenLakes Residents but at least the trailer will be in good shape when anyone needs i

History as reported in 2013:
May 1, 2013
John Hunter (Fariway Drive) had a trailer and he wanted to donate it to Glenlakes but I bought it for $100!!!! Then John wanted to donate the $100 toward the Entranceway!
I told him I would not accept the $100 and now it is for use of all the residents on Glenlakes! (When he bought the trailer it cost him over $700!!!)
All you need to do is call me at 251-978-3069 to borrow the trailer. Mort Mortimer had the Dutchman pick up his lawn mower and return it for $40. With this trailer you can save the $40!!! Just let me know if you need it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
