On November 4, 2014, Larry Randolph and I resigned from being over the Game Park due to some mis-understandings such as why the Game Park was built, why residents made donations and what was planned for the future. I then volunteered to keep it up until Dec. 31, 2014 until something could be worked out.
It was estimated to take $3,000 to maintain the Game Park for a year. Since The Gardens, The Villas and Lakeview Estates POA’s did not want to pay to keep up the Park, we worked out a plan that would be beneficial to both GlenLakes Residents and the owners of the golf course. I volunteered to keep up the Game Park for 2015 and on January 27th the Golf Course Board put me over the Game Park.
Residents will still be able to bring their own drinks, wine and food to GlenLakes “Game Park Parties” during the year just like when TEXTRON owned the Golf Course. We are working to lease out the Park for birthday parties, family reunions, events and FootGolf Tournaments. The Golf Club put in two holes to practice FootGolf next to the “Game Park”. We have two very small balls, two medium balls and several regular balls to use for practice.

We are planing on several tournaments being played over a period of time that includes FootGolf, Bocce Ball, Corn Toss. By having cookouts like in the past we will not need any money from GlenLakes Golf Club to keep up the Park due to the donations received from residents when they attend the parties. We have averaged over 200 residents in the past and hope to increase in size as more residents meet other residents.
